How to Fit Carpet Gripper Rods

If your carpet is going to be fitted with underlay you must use gripper rods (also known as smoothedge) to create the best finish at skirting boards.
In this video we have a handy guide including some tips and tricks.
We supply 2 basic forms of carpet gripper rods - one is for concrete floors and the other for wood based sub floors. Some retailers sell a "multi purpose" smoothedge fixing that is suitable for both types of floor but we find that these are not the best of both worlds and you are better off going for the specific type of product.
